Grade 1 walks – They are up to 30 minutes on flat ground or with gentle slopes, with mainly firm surfaces and no steps or stiles. All new walkers will be required to complete a short registration form prior to your first walk. The Walking for Health scheme provides a programme of weekly walks which are free of charge and take place across the district. Exercising outdoors is a great way to ensure you get your hit of vitamin D (if it’s sunny) as well as a good workout, and it doesn’t have to be all cardio.
